How to cancel a flight on Vueling Airlines

We booked a flight for June on Vuleing airlines and now we need to cancel it. According to the fair rules, we booked the excellence class which allows for a full refund. Now here is my problem......how the heck do we cancel it? There is no option on their website to do so and they don't have a number that I can call from the U.S. I tried to send them and email too, but it just takes me to their FAQ.

Has anyone ever cancelled a flight on Vueling and if so, can you tell me how you did it?

Thank you!

April,

Have a look at the Customer Service details on this page......

http://www.vueling.com/en/we-are-vueling/contact#ContactTelf

They don't appear to have a phone number that can be accessed from the U.S., so you'll have to dial a long distance call using the "Rest of the World" number: +34 931 518 158

I've never tried, but you may also be able to contact them via the "Send Us A Message" page.....

Good luck!

Thanks Ken. Yes, I have exhausted all options on their website, including trying to call them. The "send us a message" takes you to an auto answer category. I tried to send an email as a "complaint" and then got an error message emailed to me.

I was hoping someone had experience with this possibly.

...and if you've (unsuccessfully) tried all options that you can find, call your credit card company and get them involved.

It seems clear both in the FAQs on the website and in the "more information" on the sales page that you either open "My Booking" and cancel it there or call the Customer Services number they show for your part of the world - in your case, the Rest of the World.

For your fare base:

Total flexibility on changes and cancellations

You can make all the changes you need to your booking, regarding both
the time and date, without having to pay any charges, via our website
or by calling our Customer Services. You can also change the name of
the ticket holder by calling Customer Services. In both cases, you
just have to pay the difference in the fare when you make the change
(if the fare available for the new flight is lower, no refund will be
made). You can also cancel your flight, providing you haven't already
completed one of the legs, and we'll refund the full fare (credit
card/PayPal fees and the purchase of any additional service not
included in the fare shall not be refunded).

I'm sure this isn't completely new to you. It seems clear to me that if the only two options are in the modify booking area or calling a particular department on a specific number then that's what they allow. I would be surprised if they responded favourably to emails or other means of communication.

Thanks Nigel. As I said in my first and follow up posts, I have exhausted the options on the website (they either don't work or it just takes you to a faq section) and the "rest of the world" phone number doesn't work from the U.S. They did however just respond to my email and have cancelled my reservation. Now, to get it refunded to my card.......

Woo-hoo, April! Around here, we celebrate (even incomplete) Customer Service victories ;-)

I hope the credit comes through sooner than later...

Did you dial 011 before the 34 931 518 158?

The 011 is required for any countries outside of US and Canada.

Based on my experience with them I figured it would require an animal sacrifice, naked during a full moon.
