Hi- I have an upcoming trip and before I book I want to see how much there is to do in each city. Before when I have visited the 'lesser' cities, I've alotted 2-3 days, but when I look back I wish I would have given them a bit more time. I can see easily 3 days in pargue, but what about budapest?
I agree with Ilja...minimum of 3+3 full days. That will give you time to see the major sites if you are sightseeing for 8 hrs a day. 4+4 is more relaxed.
I would say 3+3 minimum but it can be more depending on your interests.
I would give at least 4 days to Budapest. There are lots of things to see and do and there are a couple of nice day trips. There are several fine museums and a couple of oddities that are charming - like the Post Office Museum! Good food, not expensive, and yummy wines.
I would say it could be done in 3 nights, for both cities. We did it spending 4 nights in both cities and found that a wonderful amount. We were not rushed. We went at a leisure pace. It's what I would recommend if you have time.
Both cities have lots to offer but I would give one more day to Prague.
3 days in Prague and 4 in Budapest. Obviously, if you had more time it would be easy to find more things to do. But if you are asking what's the minimum to allow you to leave with few or no regrets, that's my opinion.
3 each sounds good to start. I can always determine after more investigation I'm really into art and literary type stuff. I hear there's a kafka musuem in prague!
