I have requested booking at mije for paris and Pensione Guerrato for Venice, how long should I wait to hear from them?
I know both of these places are fairly popular with R.S. readers so I hope some of you can let me know what is reasonable.

My thought would be close of business (6:00 pm?)their time the next day (sort of give them a whole working day to deal with it) -- unless you've already given cc# when it becomes a whole new ball of wax. If anybody took longer than that, I'd figure they don't want/need my business, vacancy or not.

Hotel reservations - I have waited as long as 10 days while sending numerous e-mails and then finally calling and it has always worked out but stressful for me.
I recently sent an e-mail to a Turkey hotel requesting reservations and they replied in 2 or 3 days asking me to send them a CC #. After send CC #, I got a reply the next day. If I had sent the CC# and not received a reply within 2 or 3 days I certainly would have called them and if no response, put a watch on my CC account in case I had to back-charge.
