How do you carry your camera + lenses?

Hello, I'm planning to travel alone in Europe(Italy, Greece, France..). I'm female and i'm kind of small- less than 90lbs. How do you carry your camera + lenses + tripods... purse, water bottle and so on all at once and still have a scene of freedom? I hope to take good pictures as a 'professional' too :) thanks for your help in advance!

Fa, What kind of Camera gear do you normally carry when travelling? There are several different options you might consider to "still have a sense of freedom". Most of the time, I carry my DSLR "in the open" when I'm touring around cities, although I often tuck it tightly under my arm when I'm on the Metro or in other crowded locations. I typically only carry one extra Lens (wide angle) as well as an extra battery. I prefer to use a Vest to carry the extra Lens and Battery. I've packed along a Tripod for the past year or two, and it's a bit of a nuisance to travel with, but it's been VERY useful on more than one occasion, especially for night shots. Note that Tripods are usually NOT allowed in Museums, Churches, etc. Rather than carrying a Purse (which might be awkward when trying to use a Camera), you could consider a Messenger Bag or lockable Daypack as that would keep your hands free. A Purse will be like a "beacon" for thieves, so it's best to minimize the exposure. While on the topic, be sure to wear a Money Belt! If you prefer a Daypack or "Sling" bag, you might have a look at the PacSafe products. Happy travels!
