Hi, I plan to make a trip to London, England on July 10th and I was wondering how would I get a place to stay for five days? I heard that if your just visiting, taking a tour that you could live with a family for a price? If not I want to know if what is the cheapest hotel? Thank you.
Cheap is relative. London is the most expensive city in the world. What would be cheap for you?
I guess you are asking about a program like Servas where you'd pay a membership fee to be matched with a host family.
Other cheap options: couchsurfing.com, hostels, university dorm rooms rented to tourists in the summer.
How much would that membership be?
School of Economics & University College London all in London proper have well priced beds/rooms for rental during summer. ck their websites for rates and reservations.
website for School of Economics and others
You could try Priceline, after researching on www.biddingfortravel.com.
After researching all options, I stayed at Hilton Olympia for $80.00 per night including fees. It's not back door but the price was better that at a b&b and offered a little more comfort.
