hotels/ places to stay for a family of 5

I am posting in order to help others like me if they search. We just got back from 2 weeks in Europe with our family of 5. Here are some places we found that we enjoyed: London Rhodes Hotel is close to Paddington Station. It was 145 pounds a night. All 5 were in a room. It was actually bigger than I was expecting. Plenty of room for our suitcases ( Only 1 carry-on each). The breakfast in the basement was find: rolls, meats, yogurt, cereal, fruit, etc. One thing: we were there right when breakfast opened and had no problem. Trip advisor had people complaining that the breakfast room wasn't big enough for all the rooms and I agree, so go early not later when the crowds go. Normandy http://www.relaisdelaure.com/ This bed and breakfast also has a gite that can fit 6 people. ( No breakfast at the gite.) It has a grass tennis court outside your door, ping pong, and 5 bikes to use. It was 291 Euros for 4 nights. ( not each night...for the whole time!!!) We loved cooking and ask your host Rene for where to get pastries, breads, etc. 2 drawbacks: washer/dryer combo small and wouldn't dry clothes. Put them in the sun to dry and the bathroom that was a giant room. Hard not to get water in the entire room. We had a car for this place. Bacharach
Pension Lettie that Rick Recommends had a family room for 5 that is really 2 rooms. One room has a single bed, desk and bathroom and the other room had the double bed and single bed and she put in an extra bed for my 9yo. Her breakfasts are good and Lettie is a hoot!! Easy walkind from the train station. Christine
