I am going to both Porto and Lisbon at the beginning of April. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced but clean and convenient place to stay in either city? Thank you!

In Porto I've stayed the Grande Hotel de Porto(www.grandehotelporto.com). It's an independent 3-star hotel in the middle of the main pedestrian shopping street, with a metro station around the corner. In addition to the great location it also has excellent AC which is important in hot and humid Porto. They are very flexible with their room rates and will match another hotels lower rates.
