Hotels in Lisbon and Porto

Any budget? We enjoyed Hotel Infante de Sagres in Porto. Beautiful place, good service and food.

In Lisbon we enjoyed the charming, comfortable Lisboa Plaza Hotel on our RS Portugal Tour. Excellent breakfast. It's conveniently located in the historic center of Lisbon. A multitude of restaurants in walking distance.

In Lisbon you could try http://lisboatejohotel.com/en/index.html. And in Porto http://en.hoteldabolsa.com/m/fotos.htm . I've stayed in both and would definitely recommend them. Both are in a great location. There's A laundromat just down the street from Da Bolsa, should you need one.

In 2016 we stayed in Grande Pensão Alcobia on a small side street just off Praça da Figueira. Inexpensive, the RS guidebook describes it as "worn", in a very good location. Have a great trip.

We just returned from a stay at Guest House Douro in Porto and loved every second! Carmen and Joao are the ultimate hosts who will ensure that you have a memorable vacation from the time you book, until you leave. Fabulous!

We stayed at the Mercador Guest House in Porto and loved it. It is a little bit away from the crowds ( at the top of the hills!) but we found it easy still to walk to everything and we loved the neighbourhood feel. And you can always catch a cab back up if you are a bit tired.
