Does anyone have a hotel in this region to recommend? We'll visit in August and A/C is essential.

Probably not crazy because of the heat. But possibly crazy because half of England will be competing with you to stay there.

In Rocamadour, Beau Site. In Sarlat, Relais de Moussidiere. Both recommended in Cadogan. I don't have the websites, see if you can google them and confirm they have A/C.

I have friends who have a B&B in Payrac. Their website is http://www.labourianeholidays.com/ Don't know if they have AC or not.
