Any suggestions for good hotels in central Paris ?
Also, what's 'central Paris" - - inside the peripherique, within a half mile of kilometer zero?
Everyone here will have dozens of suggestions but you have to give us something to go on. What is your definition of a "good hotel"? What are you willing to pay? Are you travelling alone or with someone else? How many nights? etc.
I don't know what Sharon wants, but I am going to Paris in December. My favorite neighborhood is St. Germain. A perfect room for me (age 51) and my daughetr (age 20) would cost $150, but $200 is ok if its worth it. Anything?
We found Hotel Helios Opera to be reasonable. 3 star. Clean & efficient. Rooms were a bit small, but what can you do? Great location near the Opera and Blvd Hausmann. 75, Rue de la Victoire 75009 Paris http://www.hotels-emeraude.com/en/helios-opera-hotel.html
Hotel Agora St Germain is also in your preferred area. I've stayed there twice and both times booked through www.yeego.com for exceptionally good rates with breakfast included. Booking directly with Hotel Agora St Germain was much more expensive AND they wanted 10 Euro per person per breakfast. It's a clean and satisfying little no-frills hotel located between Notre Dame and the Pantheon.
