Hello! Has anyone stayed in the newly created cabin suites at the Hotel Welcome in Villefranche? Rick's guidebook mentions that the 6th floor rooms are very small..it sounds like the hotel has remodeled and joined a couple of rooms to make a suite...comments? Thank you!

I stayed in one of the top floor rooms in 2006 - since I was just one person it wasn't bad, I think the bed was either a double or maybe a queen? (Probably a double though). The room was a little tight, but the view from the deck was AMAZING! If you aren't planning on spending too much time in the room, I'm sure it would be ok for 2 people. I liked the hotel, great location right on the water, had little computer stalls (kind of like phone booths with a computer) for internet access. Very nice staff, ordered a taxi to take me to the airport early in the morning on my last day (set it up the day before). Sorry I can't give any more info that that, but I did like my stay there.
