hotel inquiry

A hotel replied to my inquury that the best rate they could offer is 100BB. Could you explain what the BB stands for?

Where's the hotel? They quote rates of their home currency.

Teri, Probably "Bed & Breakfast". Which hotel are you looking at?

I thought that might be the case! I'm looking into The Gibson Hotel in Dublin. Thanks for responding so quickly!

I'm surprised it wasn't with a currency symbol so they make clear if they expect 100 notes of Euro or 100 greenbacks. I would have expected it to read like €100 BB. That would have meant 100 Euro bed and breakfast, which seems lower than their website offers. I might snap their hands off, if you like the place. That's not a recommendation, mind, I've never set foot in the Emerald Isle. Visited Irish harbours but never been ashore.
