Hotel at Rome Fiumicino Airport

I only see bad reviews for airport hotels, can anyone suggest one, we have to check in by 9AM, so would be best to be onsite.

The usual advice here is to not sacrifice your last night in Rome staying in an overpriced, badly reviewed airport hotel. If you can, stay in the city and take a taxi to the airport early in the morning. The cost (40e) will probably be off-set by staying somewhere cheaper/nicer in town. Some hotels also offer a shuttle service for less.

I recently stayed at the Hilton on the airport. from there you can walk to the airport via a skybridge. The regular rooms are fairly drab. They aren't terrible, but surely nothing to get excited about. They could use a refresher. The hotel itself, including the common areas are just fine. The executive floor rooms are very nice. and front desk was very helpful and spoke perfect English. If your flight is early, I'd check in after you've had all your fun in Rome and are ready to just crash for the night. The conveinence will show up when you leave for your flight the next morning. If your flight isn't early (or you're brave) - you could taxi into the airport the day of your flight as suggested in the previous post.

If you mean you need to be at the airport counter at 9am, that is easily done by taxi or train if you stay in Rome. I've done it both ways, airport-area hotel and staying in Rome. I will never stay at an airport-area hotel again. You can't go anywhere, the food is mediocre and overpriced, and the room was expensive. It's like you've already left Italy.

Several years ago I stayed at the Hilton at the Fiumicino airport and this hotel is not up to the regular Hilton standards. The food was overpriced since there was no competition. My wife and I decided to eat at the airport which was fine. Since we had Hilton miles the cost was not an issue however they wanted around 300 euros to stay at the hotel. Just get up 45 minutes earlier and take a taxi from Rome which has a fixed rate around 40 euros.
