Anyone know of hospitals in or near Arles which has a Cath Lab? Just in case...

Hi Ann . . . I don't know about a Cath Lab, but we did make an emergency visit to the hospital in Arles in 2007. The name is Centre Hospitalier d'Arles, phone 04 90 49 29 29, email [email protected]. You might try contacting them (maybe including a google translation as we didn't run across anyone speaking English in the ER). The doctors and nurses there were wonderful and treated us with such kindness. I tried to pay for our ambulance ride and night in the ER before leaving, but they insisted that they would bill us. Some time later, we got a bill for €113.38.

Thanks, Nancy. It's good to know about the hospital in Arles. My own research showed many in Marseille,but since we will be in Arles, this is much better!

While this is unrelated... if you think you may need medical help I assume you have checked into insurance?
(For anyone reading remember that Medicare provides NO coverage outside the US and others vary by provider but figure it's "pay first and then get reimbursed" My experience has been that emergency treatment in Europe is very reasonably priced, but have not gone much beyond that)
