Honeymoon Planning Guidance

Hello, So my fiance and i are beginning to plan a honeymoon trip to Europe and we have a few set Dates we are trying to work around. We are planning to arrive in Florence Sept 15th for a wedding in Chianti checking out Sunday the 18th. Our next main event is Oktoberfest with some friends in Munich the 22nd-25th. After Oktoberfest, we were thinking of possibly Salzburg and or maybe Innsbruck and ultimately making our way to over to Budapest by the 29th through the 2nd visiting my family and ultimately flying back to Chicago on the 2nd of October.

Trying to fill in the time in between the wedding and Munich and was thinking of heading up to Milan, Como, perhaps lugano, etc ....and looking for similar advice between Munich and Budapest.... Looking for some seasoned travelers to give us a bit of planning advice and guidance on the must see places. We are both 30 and very easy going, will be traveling very light, and have traveled through Europe several times. Not looking to do touristy things or tours. Am open to renting a car and will most likely be staying in AirBNB's.

We are thinking our next trip may need to cover Venice and Croatia, perhaps during yacht week and that maybe Prague would be to difficult to tie in on this journey. As i am sure you all can relate, there is so much we want to see and do and so many places we want to visit, unfortunately there just isn't enough time.
Thank you so much!!

A couple of thoughts:

Between Chianti and Munich, I'd go for Como. Assuming you want a little time in a relatively quiet, charming place, you will do better in Como. If you want nightlife, Milan is the better bet.

Salzburg is head and shoulders nicer than Innsbruck - prettier, more to see - so I'd definitely recommend there.

After the normal stress that goes with most weddings, you will probably want (or need) a little down time. For that respite Lake Como will be ideal. Second choice will be Venice just for the romantic atmosphere during the evenings.
