Holy cow major spam!

Must all be gone now. I'm on All Topics right now and see no spam posts at all. It is usually taken care of quickly.

Looks like maybe the Webmaster finally went in and flagged old posts as "closed due to inactivity" and that kicked them up to the top. Oops.

Yeah, sorry. This one's my fault. I knew about this bug but it was always a minor issue. What I just did exposed that it can be a bit more significant. I'm not sure if I'll be able to fix it before natural forum behavior straightens things out at the top of the various forums. I'll work on it.

Rest assured the Travel Forum works very hard to ensure that the content you see is not only fast, but also reflects accurate data. Every once in a while we do something unusual and occasionally edge-case bugs can surface which can cause a bit of a kerfuffle. It was trying to make things so accurate that it updated the times incorrectly!

I'm actively giving a "bump" to some topics to get things moving again.

Just wanted everyone to find where things left off....

I'd rather people know and be able to find the latest posts. I'm not worried about being outed.

I just ran a script that has modified the last updated time for impacted topics to match the last visible reply for that topic. The "All Topics" page should be displaying correctly. Each sub-forum should display correctly once a topic has been updated or posted on that forum.
