Hockey to the rescue...

This is a stretch to make it travel related, but in the spirit of a post I created last week about stereotypical travelers, when my wife and I were on an RS tour last year we were the token Canadian couple among 26 Americans and I played up all the fun stereotypical hockey comments that were thrown my way and I happily showed that both my front teeth were false and told stories about using hockey tape to fix anything (I use hockey stick tape at the top of my mop handle for better grip when cleaning the floors), but here is a story about hockey coming to the rescue of our healthcare workers;

If you're interested, a couple more manufacturers that are changing production to help out. I'm sure the US has some too.

Allan,

Our local Craft distillery has also switched production to hand sanitizer.....

The article is a bit incorrect though. This is not "nearly ready for the public". Their Facebook page indicates that the first lot will be allocated to emergency services, hospitals, etc. They will announce later when free distribution to the public will begin.

Oh Ken!
Switching from high quality beer to hand-sanitizer! I bet that politician will not get re-elected.
Glad I didn't have to make that call.

The Wiser/Canadian Club distillery in Windsor, Ont., by some measures the biggest distillery in North America, also plans to produce sanitizer. No guarantee the locals get first call, though.

Sun-Baked,

I don't think Okanagan Spirits makes beer (but I could be mistaken). They specialize in products like vodka, gin and other spirits, and they even make Absinthe.

They make world-class products and just won Gold and Silver awards at the world competition in Austria.
