Help with flights from Italy to Spain

On a bit of a whim I booked a room in Venice for the first week of Carnivale (Feb 6-9) as part of a long trip to South America. I decided not to cross "the pond" this winter, but since I already have a room for Carnivale. . . .

I was in Spain for the first time last year and would love to go back. I would fly into Milan and out of either Madrid or Barcelona (these are my only reasonable options). I just spent 3.5 weeks in Italy, but I would be willing to stay another day or two in Italy and to fly out of somewhere other than Venice. I want to visit both Madrid and Barcelona. Since it's February Spain is the only destination I'm considering. About 2 weeks in Spain, a few days in Barcelona, a few in Madrid, the rest probably in Andalucia, maybe the pueblos blancos.

Chani,

There are good flight options from Milan to Barcelona, so that's one option to consider. I travelled that route last year (using EasyJet) and it was very "easy". I believe they also offer flights to Madrid from MXP.

You could use Vueling, either out of Venice or Florence. Feb schedules are not up yet, but it looks like 69-89 euros

Thanks, everyone. It looks like I have some excellent options, so that's probably my destination. I'll be back in a couple of months to start the real planning. In the meantime, I'll be dreaming of Venice and Spain, now that I have a plan!
