Help with Austrian train tickets

Hey everyone, sorry for posting in general but this is pretty urgent.

Meant to take a train from Vienna to Hallstatt tommorow, originally there was only one changeover.

There's been multiple changes since then and now there are two changeovers on our journey.

I'm looking at the translated ÖBB website right now at the current timetable and I'm finding it confusing.

We arrive at 8:54 at St. Pölten HBF (Bstg.6C-D)

What does Bstg.6C-D ? I'm assuming it's platform number because our connecting train departs from Bstg.5, five minutes later.

Also what does '1 Halt Alternative alle 13-31 Minute mean' I'm assuming this was something lost in translation.

Thank you.

Bstg 6C-D means Bahnsteig ie, platform. "C-D " means the train will pull in (Einfahrt) between letters C and D, which is where you should be waiting.

You're in luck because your connecting train on Bahnsteig 5 is just on the opposite side of the same platform. They'll announce that (demselben Bahnsteig gegenüber)

Nothing is lost in a translation...not possible. The last question you ask says: one stop every 13-31 minutes.

The "Alternative alle 13-31 Minute mean" means "alternatives every 13-31 minutes". This is just OBB being helpful and telling you that if you miss your connection you should be able to take an alternative connection within 13 to 31 minutes.

Note that you do not need to use Google Translate. Just choose "English" as language on oebb.at, and you will have a less confusing experience.
