Hi everyone,
We’re planning a two-week trip after attending a family wedding in Tuscany in late April. We’ll have already spent five days in Italy with family and are now looking to build the next leg of our adventure — from April 20 to May 4 — before heading to Paris to start a planned trip along the Seine.
We’d love your thoughts on this rough itinerary:
Greece (5 nights): We’re dreaming of a relaxing stay in a small seaside town — somewhere peaceful with fresh seafood dinners by the water. We’re thinking of flying from Rome to Athens and heading straight to the Peloponnese region for a bit of quiet beauty and sunshine.
Eastern Europe (remaining 9 nights): We’ve long wanted to visit Krakow and Prague, and possibly Hamburg to see the Miniatur Wunderland railway museum. The timeline is tight, but we’re wondering if it’s realistic to fit this all in.
We’ll need to be in Paris by May 4 to begin the next stage of our travels.
Questions:
Is including Greece for 5 nights too ambitious, or would it provide a nice contrast before heading north?
What’s the most logical route through Eastern Europe to fit Krakow, Prague, and maybe Hamburg?
Are we trying to do too much?
We enjoy slower travel, beautiful scenery, local food, and avoiding party scenes or big tourist crowds. Appreciate any advice on logistics, routes, and whether this itinerary is doable without feeling rushed.
