I will be traveling to Germany & Italy. I just noticed my CHASE MC debit card does not have any logo on the back (!); ie:Star, Cirrus, etc.
I did recently use it in Mexico at ATMs (I didn't even notice the missing logo til I checked today!)
And, I called my banker, who checked with the ATM dept. She said "It should work"...
Has anyone used a card like this recently in Europe & been successful? I do not want any surprises when I arrive at the airport.

It's doesn't need a logo on the back...it's on the front:) The MC logo is all you need. MasterCard is a network.
I just checked my Chase debit card and on the back, near the bottom right, is the word "Star" in white.
Thank you Michael & Frank. My card does not have STAR on it. That is what worried me. Just MasterCard in white on bottom right, back side.
It is also one of those "blink ))) paypass cards"
...I have never used it that way...

You're welcome. BTW, I love the Blink/Paypass feature. To my knowledge, only the UK and Switzerland have implemented it in Europe. Works great when in London; the Pret A Manger chain uses it....grab and sandwich, hold my wallet to the sensor, and I'm out of there:) No Pin or signature needed.
Maybe it would come in handy at a bakery LOL !

The Star network is not in Europe but MasterCard is.
