Help me join the dots of my itinerary!

Hi, I am planning a trip to Europe, and I am having problems arranging the itinerary. I already know what cities I want to visit and I'll be travelling by train. Cities are: Bruges, Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne, Munich, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Lauterbrunnen, Innsbruck or Salzburg, London, Paris I welcome any suggestions of any kind, such as enroute stops, best time to travel, etc Thank you all in advance!

I think it seems most logical to start in London and work your way south and east: London > Paris > Brussels/Bruges > Amsterdam > Cologne > Berlin > Prague > Vienna > Salzburg > Munich > Innsbruck > Lauterbrunnen That makes kind of a backwards C shape, basically. You could fly back out of Geneva or Zurich?

This looks like a 6-week trip, at least. Is that what you are planning?

Same question as Chani: we can provide feedback that will be more useful to you, if you tell us how much time you have for this?

Natalia, My question is the same as Kent and Chani mentioned. It would help if you could provide some additional information on your travel plans. Given your location, I'm not sure which flight options are easiest for you. Which country / city were you planning to start in? Also, the duration of your trip and any other details?

And what time of year would be helpful information as well.

Hi all, thank you for your messages! I am planning 35 to 40 days of travel. I will be arriving and departing from London, because it's my best option. Open-jaw flights are very expensive from here. I intend to go during summer, around July and August. Hope this help you help me!!

Are you sure you are using open jaw pricing the correct way. I did some quick playing around with dates a month a part and there was little price between from Paris or London.

It does look do-able, just. 12 cities, average stay 3 days, plus 1/2 day travel each. That's 3.5 x 12 = 42. I would try to cut out at least one, maybe two stops, first because you will need at least a day, maybe two, to get up and running after the long-haul flight, jetlag, and change of seasons to boot. I am assuming that the flight time (to and from Argentina) is NOT included in your 35-40 days. Secondly, some of your cities deserve more than 2-3 days to enjoy (London, Paris, Berlin). ..... I agree that a "straight line" is a good idea, then get a cheap flight back to London. ...... Getting from place to place takes time. It is packing, checking out, getting to the train station and then the reverse when you get off the train. Even a 2-hour train ride can eat up almost half a day.
