pat,

I tried the Advanced Search option, but unfortunately can't find the Thread you referred to. Hopefully Kent or one of the other experts will be able to help.

It was under transportation. Most of us gave lip and unwanted advice, Tim came through with how to do it, as usual.

HEY, TIM! Paris - St Malo - Paris

Pat: Don't know how long it's been since you've been there, but the biggest glob of moules joints is just inside the wall that parallels the recreational marina. Maybe a mile and a half from where I think the train stations is.

How on earth could such a boring type of question get heated?LOL

Okay, Pat (and Ed), I'll give it a go.

Trains from Paris to Saint-Malo depart from Gare Montparnasse. Depending upon the departure time you choose, you will either take a direct TGV all the way or you will have to change to a regional train in Rennes.

If you book far enough in advance (up to three months allowed) at www.tgv-europe.com, you can get a Prem's fare as low as 22 EUR for a direct TGV or a combined fare as low as 34.70 EUR for a TGV to Rennes and a regional train from there to Saint-Malo. (In this case the Paris-Rennes leg is a Prem's fare.)

To keep the site in English and to avoid being bumped to the Rail Europe site which doesn't offer discount fares, choose Great Britain as your country of residence.

Prem's tickets are for a specific departure date and time. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable so don't book them unless you can commit to a date and time.
