Help! Lost Camera!

Our camera disapeared the last day of our trip. We don't know if it was stolen or lost, but we suspect we left it on a train because we had a lot of tight connections the last day. Is there any way the Deutch Bahn (we were in Germany) has a lost and found office? I hope it is not lost for good, it had all of our pictures from our trip!
thanks,
~Jenny

Sorry to hear about your camera. That kind of loss just makes you sick, I know. Unfortunately, the chances of getting it back are pretty slim. Though it doesn't help this time, you might consider using several smaller memory cards next time so that if the same thing were to happen (or even if a card would fail) you wouldn't lose everything. Good luck.

Jenny,
The Bahn's lost and found department is a good place to get a used umbrella, but not by long distance. However, having your camera find its way back to you is not likely.
In event you find this a good idea for your next camera --- using your computer printer, produce an 8.5 X 11 sign [your name, address, phone, email, etc]. Fold your paper sign and keep it with your camera stuff. When you start a new picture card, unfold the sign and snap a picture of it. You will probably not lose another camera anyway, but if you do, there's at least a very slim chance it may be returned to you. Good Luck ! P.

I do basically the same thing, only I write my info on my whiteboard at home and photograph it with each card I'm taking on the trip. If I'm traveling internationally I include my Mobal phone number and email address.
