Help in Spain

I am going to Spain with my family. We have 4 adults and a 7 years old kid. Can we take one taxi in Malaga and Madrid, Spain? What is the person limit for the taxi?

Thanks,
PL

If I understand your question correctly (it's phrased a little oddly, perhaps your native language is not English), I think you're asking if you can get four adults and one child into a single taxi. The answer is probably yes, but exactly how practical that's going to be will depend on how large the individuals are, how comfortable you want to be, and most of all, how much stuff you'll be packing along. Even if you're all small, flexible, and willing to be less than comfortable, the determining factor will probably be luggage. Unless you are all packing very lightly, I suspect this wouldn't work in most cabs.

You could, of course, make special arrangements, for a van or other larger vehicle, but those are probably not going to be immediately available everywhere (e.g. just grabbing a cab at an airport or on the street).

Nope....maximum limit is 4 passengers (seatbelts required), and even that's tight in some taxis! They definitely won't take five. Airport shuttles might be a better way to go.

Norm, we are just back from Spain, rode a lot of cabs, no one said anything about seatbelts. Maybe it is a rule but not much enforcement.

Depends on the cabbie....but if the cops catch them, they're in trouble. They certainly will not carry more people that the number of seatbelts provided.
