Health Insurance for Travel in the Baltic Countries

Where in the U.S. can one purchase primary, short-term (for 3-4 weeks only) health & accident insurance for travel in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia or in other European countries requiring it? We have none. We're looking for reputable, reliable companies that don't charge unreasonable premiums and provide excellent customer service.

We use Travel Guard for cancelation, medical and evacuation insurance wherever we travel in the world. Their emergency hotline quickly responds if you need medical help.

We have a Medicare supplement that pays out of the country. Usually they reimburse you for charges and foreign healthcare charges can be put on a charge card.

You can check here too

I’ve used the site for my needs but not the countries you’ve mentioned.

If you have preexisting health conditions purchasing early will in many cases cover them. By purchasing early I mean within x days of booking your trip (flights, tour, hotel, etc).

Note that the vast majority of Travel Insurance healthcare is REIMBURSEMENT-based. Some countries don’t charge for everything, but you need a credit card even if you have good Travel Insurance.
