This trip has been in the planning for 1 1/2 year or so. Tomorrow is it. Heading for an AmaWaterway Christmas Danube cruise Nov 27 to Dec 9. All is calm with me. I am more concerned with our crazy winter weather coming in. My travel agent only gave me a 1 hr 20 min layover (prefer a little bit longer layover). I got my 1st leg changed to leave earlier tomorrow to Chicago. Hoping that we can get out ok for our 6:00 flight to Frankfurt. I will report back on my travels when I return home. We will be in Prague, Nuremburg, Regensburg, Passau, Melk, Linz, Vienna and Budapest. I keep having John Denver's song singing in my head, "Leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I will be back again.". :)
Fingers crossed for fair weather, seamless connections and an amazing time at the Christmas markets!
Thanks Pam!!
Wasn't that a Peter, Paul and Mary song?
Sounds like a wonderful trip! Have fun!
Good luck with the flights. I saw a report on the news yesterday that Chicago was snowed in, so hopefully you'll have no problems getting to Frankfurt. I'll be interested to hear your trip report as I've been considering taking a river cruise.
Bon Voyage!
Have a great trip!
Leaving on a Jet Plane was written by John Denver but it was, arguably, best recorded by Peter, Paul and Mary
As of right now it is 3:45 am back home. We made it thru Chicago fine with no glitches. Now in Frankfurt, waiting on our 12:55 flight to Prague.
