Having trouble buying Rick's ETBD kindle version

I don't know if this will help, but I use the iBooks app on my iPad. I have found it easier to use than the kindle app.

I did it from my PC, straight from the Amazon website. I had the option of then sending it to the Kindle app on my iPad.

Have you logged into Amazon and purchased the book? http://www.amazon.com/Rick-Steves-Europe-Through-Back/dp/1612386431 and click the Kindle price to take you to the Kindle version and click the buy. As I type it's still $1.99. On the iPad you put your Amazon info into the Kindle app and anything you've bought can be downloaded to the iPad.

I have the Kindle app on my iPhone. I'd be surprised if it's different in action. My first time opening it, I put in my Amazon account info to link the two. I've never done the Get Books button and do the purchase that way. I've always gone through my computer, over the web, but it could be a method to try/practice.

We too had some trouble downloading ETBD it to our iPad. We were able to successfully download it but it only gave us a preview of a few pages instead of the entire book - although they took the $1.99 out of our Amazon account. We contacted Amazon and they had us download it again saying there was some glitch when we downloaded. The second time it worked great. My suggestion would be to search online for instructions for getting Amazon products on to the iPad and if you have followed all of the steps without success, then contact Amazon. I have found that online Amazon support to be very good.

Thanks everyone! I was finally able to download it. It's great not to bring the book and just be able to read through the IPad. One less thing to bring..
