Ha ha, Dawn Gilbertson of the WSJ mentioned that in her column last week, and I thought it was pretty funny!
Hahahahahahaha, A great laugh before bed. And yes, I believe I have.
Perfect!!!!
LOL!
Ugh, those temperature controls & some of the vents that needed a good cleaning! I always wanted a room on a higher floor with windows that opened when I traveled for work (in the US).
We have indeed stayed there! Four hangars - drives me nuts and all too often the case.
I've always said...."People who design hotels never actually stay in one."
I've encountered everything mentioned in the video plus.....
--hangers with no hooks so they can't be used outside the closet;
--windows that don't open;
--a/c systems so loud that noise canceling headphones won't even be of help;
--shower glass that only goes halfway across a tub so the floor will definitely get wet;
--lights by the bed and in the bathroom so bright you need sunglasses just to use the toilet in the middle of the night;
--motion sensor bathroom lights that have no way of being turned off so if you get up in the middle of the night and try to go back to bed, well, good luck. They stay on forever. (I recently had this in a hotel.)
--one electric socket behind the bed. The same for some aparthotels where the kitchen area has one socket.
--room doors so thin and hollow you can hear a flea pass wind;
--air conditioning vents that blow directly onto the bed;
--lamps that require a degree in engineering just to figure out how to turn them on.
--a/c and heating vents that are not connected but just for show;
--ceiling smoke alarms with a blinking light so bright you think your room has become a dance club;
Anyone else?
Currently at a 5 star hotel in Barcelona with seprate toilet and shower stalls. One comes out of the showet directly into the room. Ick.
IrishEyes has the worst of all! You actually step out of the shower all wet into the room! I hope the room isn't carpeted. Yuck.

The pillows! One isn't enough but two is too thick. I want to bring mine with me.
I do hate the motion sensor bathroom lights!
"And, we've installed glass doors and walls in the bathroom, so when you're in the bathroom you don't feel so alone. This also means the light from the bathroom will illuminate the entire room at 3 a.m."
"The bathroom door is also a sliding barn door, that doesn't really close all the way. This creates a more open atmosphere."
”The bathroom door is also a sliding. barn door….”
Just an FYI if you’re considering installing one of these in your home. Dogs love this type of door because they can flick it open with their nose. If you want privacy in a room in your home, skip the doors installed on a sliding header.
