Has anyone used Paris Sweet Home apartment rentals?

We will be in Paris the last week in December, and want to try an apartment rental (just 2 of us, no kids no pets). Paris Sweet Home has really tantalizing prices, but has anyone used their services recently? We'd love to hear feedback on Paris Sweet Home, and also other recommendations, if any. Many thanks!

I have not used the agency that you mentioned, but I did use vacationinparis.com for a trip in October and I was really pleased with their service. Everything was just as promised. I booked my hotel on short notice (late August for an early October stay) so there were not a lot of choices open. I gave them my dates and price range and they provided me a list of apartments. I ended up renting #115 in the Marais.

I paid by credit card via paypal and receive the keys about 2 weeks before I left the States. I mailed the keys back on a Saturday and the $150 key deposit was credited to my card on the following Tuesday. I would definitely rent from them again.

@Jay, it seems that you are a competitor of Allorenta as you are spamming around lots of forums of the kind by changing usernames: OysterMuncher (At Fodor), AnnoyedTouristinParis (complaintsboard), RippedOffTourist (ripoffreport), graceh9 & OysterMuncher (tripadvisor). All those usernames are in fact one person abusing & biasing the real purpose of the forums in the sole aim of harming.

I would not use Paris Sweet Home nor Allorenta (same company). We had a negative experience which cost us money. The problem with them is that you have to pay them via a wire transfer to a Swiss bank account and uif anything goes wrong, you have nothing but a yahoo email to use to communicate with them.

After six months, they acknowledged the issue and promised to make good on the money they owed us. Then nothing.

If I had to do it again, I would not use them.

Dieter,

I am not a competitor. Yes, I am a former customer of Allorenta. And yes I have posted in a variety of message boards about this issue.

So sorry, Allorenta, but I stand by what I wrote.

You know of the case in question since we have had some email discussions about it and you have opted to ignore the issue. As a result, I'm disappointed and frankly a little angry at the way you chose to handle a very legitimate problem.

If I were a person searching for an apartment rental service, I'd hope that I could find issues - even negative ones that I could use to weigh my choices. I feel that it's only right that I offer others that chance.
