Has anyone tried Purex 3 in1 laundry sheets?

I saw a commercial for this on TV tonight. The sheet has the detergent, softener and anti static all in one. (I really only need the detergent part.) I know detergent can be bought in Europe, but we are staying in apartments in four different countries with a flight in the middle. I figure these will travel better than a bottle.
I'd love to hear anyone's experience with this product.

Sue, you're a genius! I have a coupon for them, and was wondering how well they worked. But for the purpose of traveling, what a GREAT idea!!! I'm going to buy some before we go and use them while we travel in September. Thanks for the idea!

Sounds like a great idea because our last Paris apartment had an all-in-one washer/dryer combo machine. Detergent and fabric softener all-in-one sheets would have been perfect since we didn't open the door until after the load was completely washed and dried.

Yes and they work terrific. A friend recommended them for travel as they are so easy to pack. I tried one last week to see how they worked before our trip and they were great, everything came out clean and super soft. I would just recommend to bring along Oxyclean or some other stain remover as you can't spot clean with the sheets.

The Tide pen is simply the best portable spot remover going, imho. :-)

I carry one in my daypack and treat spots the instant they happen. Spaghetti sauce, red wine, you name it - it's never let me down yet.

Instead of the Tide Pen, I carry Shout Stain Wipes. They are great.

Toni, I agree. The Tide stick is incredible. I got blood on my shirt at work and it completely got the blood out. When I got home to wash it, I couldn't even find the spot to treat it... (CANNOT remember why I was BLEEDING at work?!?!?! ;)

...and for those times when your washing machine is a sink and your hands, you might try Trek & Travel's Sea to Summit Pocket Laundry Wash. It comes in TSA carry-on compliant packs of 50 dry "leaves" that dissolve in water. The pack is about 2"x3" and weighs nothing according to my food scale. They say to use 4-5 leaves as needed. They also make a shampoo with conditioner and one type of soap pack that supposedly can be used for anything. I bought one of each of those at an outdoors store and haven't tried any of them yet, so if anyone has and they are inadequate, it would be good to know.
