Has anyone tried the Happy to Fly anti-anxiety pills. I've looked for reviews other places online and have not been able to find anything. Any info/experiences with it would be appreciated.
Never heard of them, sorry. Where did you see or hear about these?
Looking at the list of ingredients from their website, I'm a bit skeptical, particularly because the tablet includes GABA, which gets broken down by the digestive system if taken orally. My feeling on this is that it probably is safe, but any benefit is probably from the placebo effect.
I think there are, as a doctor friend of mine once put it, among the current crop of pills marketed to the particularly gullible.
If you really have fear of flying, that is a psychological condition that therapy can do a lot more to resolve than medications.
I'd be concerned about any pill that promised to make me happy! :)
I take Xanax, easy to get from your doctor. Relaxes me and helps me sleep during the flight. It doesn't knock me out like a couple of Benadryl pills will, I'm not looking to be zonked out, but it does relax me enough to fly.
I saw them at Walgreen's and was myself a bit skeptical but thought I would check and see if anyone had any experience with them.
i have a friend that recently took "happy to fly"
pills and she said they really did work for her
very well. she normally hates to fly due to anxiety involved but she said she did not feel that after taking the pills. i do not know where she purchased them.
Marilyn, any pill that you without a prescription is not going to likely have miraclus results unless they effect is mostly placebo. Take them if you think they will help, but I though I saw they contain caffiene, which makes some people jumpy, and St Johs Wort, which some people should not take at all ( can interact with other medicines) .
I take . 5 mg of Ativan. Works great. See your doctor for best recommendations, and always try any med out BEFORE trip.
As I can find little to no information on the product online (the site that looks like it is related to it doesn't even exist anymore) and others like it are labeled as 'homeopathic' I would probably think that any sort of relief that it would provide would be completely in your head.
Apparently Amazon and Walgreens online sells it, and both places are out of stock, so I am thinking the company has folded.
Please try REAL anti-anxiety meds if you have a true fear of flying. I'm so glad that my doctor recommended Xanax many years ago. And I am also happy to say that after many flights with Xanax, I am "cured". Last 3 domestic and the return flight of my last international flight have been pill and (almost all) anxiety free! It is a QUICK fix which is what you need when you have an upcoming trip.
I'm glad Xanax works for so many people, but it did not work for me.
I'm a freaked out flyer
3 seperate puddle jumpers on Air Baltic made me realize I have the courage to conquer anything
I bought myself a keychain that says Air Baltic in the Vilnius Airport ticket office.
I carry it with me when I travel like the worry beads that the Greeks carry.
BUT what really helps is the complimentary wine Air France always offers me and then with the all you can eat baquettes..
my serotonin levels are HAPPY TO FLY!!!
hahahahaha!
Never tried...never heard of...but I do wish there actually WAS a pill that made passengers "happy to fly" given the grumpy lot I've seen from time to time! lol!
