Happy New Year to the People in Hungary and Central and Western Europe, and to my family and friends who mostly reside elsewhere, except Bryan-College Station.

Why passive-agressive, Mike ?

It's a riff on Seattle having a reputation for being passive-aggressive when wishing people well, especially round the holidays. More tongue-in-cheek than anything.

"Frohes neues" - shortest NY greetings formulation in German language.

btw: Berlin's 2024 ended with 2 hours water outage for more than half of the city area because a very old main pipe was broken (see map on this article page).

And to those yet to celebrate, my apologies. The Bpauk Daeng game, after 8 hours of play, ended at 4:30am my time. Having lost almost 30 thousand, i'm going to bed 2.5 hours before East Coast New Year.

Wishing all the best year to come.

I'd also like to wish everyone on the Forum a very happy and healthy New Year, hopefully with many happy and memorable travels. Although he will probably never read this, I'd also like to wish Rick a speedy recovery from his recent surgery.
