I'm interested in a guided motorcycle tour in/around/through the Black Forest in early September. I found several providers but they are all for many days. I'm interested in 2 days of riding. I'm almost resolved that I'll have to do a "self-guided" tour which I could do but believe I'd appreciate a guide more. Any references would be appreciated. Did I mention I LOVE this site I just found? LOL

An alternative might be the Odenwald (forested mountain region similar to the Schwarzwald but smaller and close to Frankfurt). I don't know of any tours, per se, but I see groups of motorcyclists riding through all the time. I would imagine that if guided tours are offered, 2 days would be ideal to cover the region.

I don't know of any groups that do the kind of tours you're asking about, but the Black Forest is near a few US Military bases, and I know there are lots of guys on base who do rides. Maybe if you posted on a local expat board (the Kaiserslaughtern and Stuttgart garrisons are convenient to the black forest) you might be able to find a local American familiar with the area who would be happy to show you around.
