I leave for a 2 1/2-3 months trip to Europe in two weeks.. I am planning on doing a loop starting in London and ending in Lisbon.. trying to concentrate more time in the Eastern countries and Italy.. then hopefully Spain and Portugal.. mainly for budget reasons I'd say.. I'll try to travel for as long as I can make my dollar last.. even more than 3 months if I can manage that.. my budget is U$10,000 - all included.
this is my rough/dream itinerary.. it is just sort of a guide and nothing is set in stone..
London(5) - Paris(6) - Amsterdam(4) - Berlin(4) - Prague(4) - Krakow(3) - Budapest(3) - Vienna?(4)- Ljubljana(3) - Zagreb/Spit(4) - Venice(2) - Firenze(2) - Rome(4) - Naples/Sorrento(5) - Greek Islands(6) - Spain - Portugal
- ( ) - number of planned nights
I am hoping to have a little break/relax time every two to three weeks.. and some sort of a beach break in the middle of my trip - mid/late September.. and was thinking of spending a week on the Greek Islands.. however, I've been listening to suggestions that can be a bit too much to do this time around with my already busy route.. perhaps expensive and time consuming to get there from Italy??.. I've heard suggestions to do the Croatia's coast instead.. or that Sorrento/Amalfi Coast would be a good stop too.. any thoughts??
also, since I am planning on exploring more of Italy, Spain and Portugal if time and money allows.. I was considering perhaps to get a Italy pass before I enter the country .. but I've also heard that trains in Italy are quite cheap? for now I am planning on doing point-to-point tickets up to Italy.. and I think I'd probably be better off flying from Greece or Italy to Barcelona
as always.. lots of questions.. and your thoughts are always much appreciated..
cheers-
