GoToob

Has anyone used GoToobs or GoTubbs? They look better than my hard plastic travel bottles from the 80s.

I have used them and like them - especially because my toothpaste does not come in travel sizes. It is easy to fill and refill and they are top rack dishwasher safe. They are especially helpful in smaller-than-a-phone-booth showers because they attach to the wall. :)

Oo, I hadn't thought about putting toothpaste in them. So that really works? If I had thought about it, I might have thought toothpaste would be a bit too thick, unlike shampoo or moisturizer.

I love my gootubes, or however you spell it! As you use them more, they take up less space. Sometimes this does matter when you try to travel lite so that you can take on more souvenirs! They are not cheap, but I found they are worth it. Edit: I bought 3 of each size as well, for different liquid needs. Got the boyfriend using them too.

I travel every week on business & love my GoToobs. The biggest problem I have with them is that, when I leave them behind by accident, they are pretty expensive to replace :-(

Dear Teresa: The plastic is softer so it is easier to squeeze the contents out. I use them on trips to bring Agave nectar for my coffee. Tastes better than sugar and healthier too. The store clerk told me that's the only plastic container safe for food storage. The small size fits in my purse. I had to put my bottle in a ziploc in case of leakage or drips. The different colors help me to quickly identify items. And I wash them in the dishwasher. Hope this helps!
Best, Carole

GoToobs made by Humangear are not plastic, they are silicone. The tops are plastic. There are lots of plastic containers that have been around for fifty years that are food safe. We just bought several and one of the uses will be to transport liquor in the paranoia bag.

"one of the uses will be to transport liquor in the paranoia bag." ...and that certainly helps with the annoyance at the paranoia ;-) FWIW, I use these: http://www.easytravelerinc.com/index.aspx Be Sure your computer volume isn't up too loud... Filling the tubes can be trying, but it's worth it for me. And sometimes it works just like it does for the owner in the video ;-) EDIT: I don't own the 'tottles' that look the most like the GoToobs...I have just the regular squeeze tubes. I've been happy with them. (Speaking of the flasks) If you bring a bottle of wine on a picnic and don't drink it all, you can put the rest in one of their flasks! I fact, I will save the weight of the bottle and use a flask in the first place! I can certainly stuff more into my 3-1-1 bag; don't know if that's good or bad... Anyhoo, I just thought I'd toss this product out there! They work great with RS' Removable Toiletries Kit Caddy - on sale through 7/4!

Love GoToobs for shampoo, conditioner and lotion. On our last trip I took my Platypus .5 liter Softbottle. I thought it might be convenient to use as a water bottle but I ended up using it a couple times to transport wine on the train when we traveled to another city and it worked great. It folds flat or rolls up, weighs practically nothing and doesn't leak. You can see them at http://cascadedesigns.com/platypus/water-bottles/softbottle/product

I bought my Platypus at REI. Actually I bought 2. One is for water and the other is specifically made for wine. It holds a whole bottle of wine and comes in handy for transporting after opening, or to store in an airtight container.
