Hello! We are considering doing Volvo’s European delivery program. This would mean we would go to Volvo’s headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. I’m struggling to find much tourist info online for this city. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do there? Or know if it’s worth going?

I don't recall that Gothenburg as one of the more interesting places I've been.... depending upon when you go, hockey is a big deal there and they have one of the top teams in Sweden. Otherwise the highlight of your visit is visiting the Volvo factory to pick up your car. After owning 3 of them, I'd love to pick one up there and tour Europe with it. As I recall, the factory is in a bit of a non-descript area...

We did this pickup in Gothenburg many years ago. We didn’t spend much time in that city but did enjoy some drives through Norway after picking up our car. We only had time to visit the City Museum to see the Viking ship and displays. We happened to pick up our Volvo during the week of summer solstice and drop it off to be shipped home on the week of winter solstice so it was fascinating for us to just observe these diverse days so far north.
