GoOpti not refunding

Booked a transfer from Venice to Lake Bled in September. GoOpti cancelled the transfer but has refused to refund the payment. I say refuse because contacting each office, an online chat, and an email to their covid team have gone unanswered. I now have to get the credit card company involved to get my money back.

I am not alone in this issue, as others have written on Facebook having the same issue. I would urge you to find another vendor for transfers.

Age old question ---- what was the terms of refund when you purchased? That is what governor, Did they offer a credit? The credit card company may not be that useful if they view the charge as valid. Credit card companies do not get involved in refund policies or disputes.

Great question. One of my rules in trip planning is read the cancellation and refund policy. Things change and you have to have flexibility.

Yes, they offered a 100% refund if cancelled within 48 hours of reserved time. We were well in advance of this. More importantly, they cancelled the transfer unilaterally, not me. They offered a voucher for future travel or a full refund. I went through three contacts to each office, a chat session, and an email with nor response. This over a 35 day period.

As to the credit card company, I called today and outlined the issues. I have a refund hitting my account in a few days. Yes, it is possible that GoOpti will fight this, but I doubt it given their past lack of communication.

Meanwhile, they are still online taking new reservations.....
