Updated: Good results from the TTP with our Global Entry renewals

Last week when we checked in to our return domestic flight my husband noticed that he didn’t have TSAPre on our return flight. We both got GE in the summer of 2020 and I knew our cards expired in 2025 but I’d forgotten that it was tied to our birthdays rather than when we were approved for the initial cards. We both applied last Thursday, my husband with his expired card (Feb 1), and me with my card not expiring until July 2025. We were very elated to find an email 48 hours later and over a weekend, that said we were Approved. It was a quick turnaround with no interview involved for both an expired GE card and one that still had a few months to go.

Oh wow, that is a great reminder. I don't think I had paid any attention to the fact that the expiration is tied to one's birthday -- and mine is very early January, so whatever year my GE expires, I need to really pay attention the December before !!!!

Glad they renewed it quickly. Thank you for posting about this Mona.

Thanks, Mona, that's great to know. My 1 year window for renewal opens this summer and I've been wondering when I should renew Global Entry between various trips. It's helpful to know what turnaround could be, in the best case.

Update: New cards arrived today, 8 days after applying and 6 days after Approval. Bless their hearts, someone is working hard.
