Giraffes now permitted as emotional support animals

https://www.mwcboard.com/index.php?/topic/100203-airline-to-allow-emotional-support-giraffes-on-board/

In a move welcomed by nervous fliers, the tiny Kenyan airline Icarus Air has announced that from March 1st it will allow passengers to be accompanied by a giraffe as an ‘emotional support animal’.

FAA regulation 4A-29147 (Appendix G) currently restricts such animals to domestic pets including cats, dogs, small birds (excluding pigeons) and ‘other such creature as shall be deemed to be of essential psychological reassurance to a passenger during his/her/its flight’.

I say it's about doggone time!

Well. I am not flying that airline until they allow my medical rhinoceros onboard, as he fetches my medically required donuts to me on his horn.

named after the legend of Icarus, who reached for the sun on a giraffe neck made of wax

Who names an airline Icarus Air? Don’t they know what happened to Icarus?

I feel a little lower appendage pulling going on.

There is a small charter outfit with that name, not a scheduled airline.

Mostly what Icarus Air is is a high domed camping tent.

That's strange -- the weather outside hardly feels like April 1st.

Trying to get thru security with even a baby giraffe would be sticking your neck out.

What would be revolutionary would be having an elephant as a support animal, but you’d need to fly on a Jumbo jet.

Wouldn't that be a "Dumbo" jet flown by BabAir?
