We are going to visit family in a few weeks in sweden. They have brought such nice handmade gifts to us in the past as well as glass-wear. We are from the mid-west, and I am debating what would be meaningful to them. Any past successes?
Thank you.
I have carried pecans to friends in Spain....something they do not have there and somthing they really enjoyed! Also a couple of suggestions on serving.
If there a farmer's market or crafter's market near you? Some "home made" jams or jelly or pickles might be nice. Crafted items like lace, embrodery, leather items, chrochet, knitting, or quilting (smaller items), etc. would also be nice and probably easier to pack. A nice large calendar with pictures of your area is always good. Native American crafts, jewelery, and art items are also usually valued in Europe. Perhaps some Texas BBQ rubs or spices or sauce would work, too. Christmas ornaments are also fun. And then there is always the Cowboys football parafenalial. Or "real" cowboy stuff...
