Gift for B&B owner?

I wouldn't,, but, if after your stay( as you leave) to show how pleased you were with the stay, why not some flowers.. all ladies like flowers! No need to pack them around with you,, and you can't offend or off put anyone with a gift like that( diabetics likely don't want candy for example,, LOL )

You are paying her to stay at her place, and she is not an employee,, so "gifting" is kind of a tricky idea.

Anyways,, do what you will,but, remember if you feel you must bring something,, I think it is best that it be something unique to your area to make it special.. thats my thought anyways.. ( we have vacum packed smoked salmon that comes in these light wooden boxes that are decorated with First Nations symbols etc. that might be a good idea.. ( unless she hates fish,, LOL

There is no need to gift a B&B owner. This is a business. Making phone reservations for guests is also a very normal thing and not out of the ordinary.

The best gift? A good review on websites such as this or over on Trip Advisor is always welcome, and is very meaningful for small business owners. This is a wonderful way to show your appreciation.

Thanks for the replies! I just thought that she saved me so much trouble and went beyond what is strictly needed by making a reservation in a different city. But yes, flowers seem like a great idea!
