Getting to Lourdes

I'm trying to plan a trip from BWI, DC or Pittsburgh to Lourdes, France. I need to keep expenses as low as possible, and I just have less than a week. Does anyone know the best way to go - would it be best to go thru London, or Paris? Is there only one station in Paris from which I cd get the train to Lourdes?
Thanks for any advice.

TGV trains from Paris to Lourdes leave from the Gare Montparnasse. If you get a direct train, the journey takes a little over 6 hours. If your only destination is Lourdes, another option is to fly into Toulouse (TLS) instead of Paris. TLS is the closest major airport to Lourdes. The train from Toulouse to Lourdes takes a little over 2 hours. You need to do some homework to find out if this would save you any overall time or money. You might find that some of your flight options involve a stopover in London, but your final flight destination needs to be Paris (or Toulouse) in order to get to Lourdes.

Can you also recommend a b&b type place, or pensione? I don't need any extras, just a good location.

Tripadvisor.com's top-rated B&B in Lourdes is: http://www.aupiedduchateau-lourdes.com/ It's also listed on the Gites de France website, which means it has to meet some quality standards. http://en.gites-de-france.com/ Disclaimer: I've not stayed there myself. On my one trip to Lourdes we did not spend the night. Also, you can also find a lot of hotel options on booking.com. You can search by price, and the website has guest reviews.

According to kayak.com, you can fly British Airways to London Heathrow and connect there to a BA flight to Toulouse.
