Ok, everyone else is planning meet-ups in the US, so why not a get-together for all of us who either live here in Germany or may be traveling through? For myself, I would be willing to travel a bit for a meet-up. Either North or South, doesn't matter to me. Any interest in doing this?

Neat idea Jo. Although I won't be back in Germany until next June, and will only be in Munich for 3 days, I would certainly attend. In future years, I would even consider changing travel plans to attend. It would be nice to put faces with names!

I will be in Bavaria from Sept. 25th - Oct. 2nd. I can't make it up to Frankfurt, but if you could come to Munich... We are staying in Schliersee, but I know we will in Munich on probably the 28th or 29th for Oktoberfest. We could meet before the drinking begins. Or, we could drink together!

Well, much as I wouldn't mind a couple of days off to run down to Bavaria, there would be no chance of getting a cheap room in Munich right now and going to the Oktoberfest is something I really, really, do not want to do. I know lots of people like it, go year after year, but it isn't a place I want to go to. Munich is a tad far for me too, maybe something a little closer? Though, I would run up to Berlin for a day or two if people wanted to meet up there. It looks like we are all spread out though. James down South, Mark in Berlin, Tom is close though. Would anyone want to meet up in Heidelberg or maybe Mainz, or Seligenstadt or anyplace different?

Currently, we are in Italy. We'll be flying out of Frankfurt on Oct. 26. Since our flight is at 2pm, we'll probably be staying in Rudesheim, Mainz or Bacharach. We want to be in the Mosel area previous to that. We don't always have interest, so I'll check back in a few days.
