Germany/Austria/Czechia itinerary help

Hello,

We fell in love with this area of Europe while on a river cruise last May. We decided to revisit a couple of our favorite places (Nuremberg and Salzburg) as well as some nearby cities we didn't get to see (Munich, Cesky Krumlov, Prague).

I've plotted out an itinerary that looks very doable by train. When booking our flight, in order to get the best fare, we added one day to our planned itinerary. Where would you add the extra day?

Our initial plan was:
Nuremberg- 2 nights
Munich- 3 nights
Salzburg- 3 nights
Cesky Krumlov- 1 night
Prague- 3 nights

We can add one night to one of these cities. What would you recommend?

Thanks!
Rebecca

Where are you flying into and out of?

You could add a day to Prague or Cesky Krumlov. I'd pick Cesky Krumlov because when you stay somewhere just one night, you end up with a fraction of a day, at best to see the city.

Took the train Linz Austria to Chesky Krumlof and it seemed to take hours stopping every 10 minutes somewhere. Then s half mile walk to the city. and then the next day to get to Prague. It was faster to just pay a van to take a bunch of us and I think it was three hours of driving.

It might work better with a car and then you could hit Hallstatt and Innsbruck.

Nuremberg is great - been back 3 times. Also Regensburg and Wurzburg are easy day trips.

For my tastes I would cut Munich time.
