Just a heads-up to set your DVRs: Ron Howard's excellent series, "Genius" just started it's second season.
Last year it was "Einstein", this season they're doing "Picasso". Antonio Banderas plays the mature Picasso (young and younger Picassos played by other actors, sorry don't know them). I just watched part of the first episode last night. It looks spectacular - wonderful "production values", lots of beautiful European scenery (so far Spain and France), golden light, passion, art...all beautifully done. They had me 10 seconds into the opening sequence. I started gushing about longing to go back to Spain, soon. I loved last year's series on Einstein and was excited when I heard they would do Picasso next. This one looks to be every bit what I had been hoping for, maybe more. They're doing it right.
I noted most of the commercials were for some travel-related services (or at least featured travel-related themes). I am sure many readers of this forum would enjoy it. On the National Geographic channel where I get my TV. I believe the first two episodes were on last night; they surely will repeat them in case you missed the beginning. If you love European travel, art, history, Spain, good TV (or if you just love Antonio Banderas), you'll probably enjoy this.
