I’ll be in Geneva for an extended time for graduate studies. I’ll be there over Christmas of this year.
Several years ago I fell in love with Assisi, Italy. I’d like to get back for the Christmas holiday I have from university. I believe we break from around the 20/21 of December to the 1st of January.
I know — I know — these are not ideal travel dates, so no need to comment that. What I am looking for are recommendations for how you’d go about getting from Geneva to Assisi during this travel period (and back). It’s not necessary for me to stay the entire time in Assisi, though I’d like to be there over Christmas.
As far as travel methods, what would you recommend? Any accommodation recommendations? Restaurants? I’m a theological student so monetary stay would be nice, but several I’ve fond are closed during the winter season.
