I have emailed [email protected] (Rick Steves' Italy 2011, p. 769) repeatedly for the past month to arrange a tour for 10 people. I have also tried [email protected], as listed on the St. Peters basilica website. They constantly bounce back as "undeliverable". Is it shut down? I will try the fax next.
Try this email address found at the bottom of this page: http://mv.vatican.va/3_EN/pages/z-Info/MV_Info_Servizi_Visite.html [email protected]
The message came back: domain does not resolve when I tried the "[email protected]" as you suggested.
We used the same email address as published in Rick's book, and it worked just fine for us for our May, 2011 reservations. Could be there is some problem between your email server and theirs. I'd suggest sending an email from a friend or relative's computer that uses a different email provider than you do and see if that goes through. For experimentation, I'd suggest you also send it from THEIR email address, too, not just their computer. Good luck. The scavi tour is really interesting, so I hope it works out for you.
Could it be ye olde e-mail spam filter problem? You've checked your spam folder, yes?
