I'm trying to book a flight to Bergen, Norway for travel next summer and fares are astronomically expensive. my thought is to book a cheap flight to a european hub and then schedule a second flight from there to Bergen. Is there any way to easily check which European hubs have cheap flights to Bergen, ie maybe which airlines have the most flights and/or are historically the cheapest?
Try Google Flights, and set up Alerts. You can also research price history. Good luck!
Wizz Air fly to Bergen from a number of European cities. Flights go from London Luton, Barcelona, Budapest, Milan amongst others which are some of the larger hubs that Wizz Air operate from and prices start from as little as €30 one way in June.
SAS has some of the fastest flights (13-14hrs.) from SFO to Bergen that stop in Copenhagen. Then you hop to Bergen in one hour. Roundtrip fares start at $700 in June; $880 during July/August.
You can use this very helpful online tool that another forum member recently shared!

I would also check Norwegian, which is a low cost carrier that flies to Bergen.
Cool link. Thanks, Cat VH!
Use above to address the 'which airlines have the most flights' question and their origin
Also conventional logic holds that it may too early to book these flights - but who knows what is normal anymore?
I am flying ATL - Zurich (points) end of January, the planes are 85% empty at this moment. I know they will be somehow oversold by departure date but it just looks weird.
Another way is Google Flights. The search is Bergen to Europe. The filters are Onr Way, Non Stop anf the maximum fare you want to pay. Then you do your hometown to Europe. Filter is One Way, the number of stops you will accept, maybe max travel time and max cost. Then compare the two searches and see where there is overlap, and that's your solution (if the flight times work). But on seperate tickets, spend tge night.
