Hi all. just an fyi - I tried a Travelex ATM in Amsterdam airport; was leery of extra fees and / or poor exchange rate, but I decided to try it anyway. Result - it worked fine - was charged the correct exchange rate for the date (July 10 - $1.1456 per Euro) and no extra fees. Had heard warnings that Travelex ATM might cost more, but in this case it worked fine. Enjoy your travels!

I think I will still avoid them, not as though other ATM's will not be available.

I posted this previously regarding Travelex ATM at Heathrow. I did the experiment two years ago, and received the same rate that I got an hour later at a Nat West ATM inside London. It did not even attempt DCC. They can be trusted.

The only ATMs I have found at Heathrow T5 are Travelex ATMs. I have used them the last few years with no issues, getting market rate without fees. It does offer DCC but I always choose British pounds and not US$.
A Travelex counter is another story. I don't go there.
